The Bureau of Meteorology developed an interactive mapping tool called ‘Australian Landscape Water Balance’ now called 'Australian Water Outlook'. It provides graphical data about Soil Moisture (Root Zone, Upper, Lower, and Deep soil moisture), Evapotranspiration, Run-off and Precipitation.

It provides an expanded service that replaces the ‘Australian Landscape Water Balance’ website and includes seasonal forecasts and hydrological projections as well as the historic water balance.
